We are seeking an experienced AV Engineer to join our Digital Services team. This is a full‑time opportunity that can be based out of Melbourne or Adelaide, with hybrid working arrangements available to support work–life balance while meeting business needs.
About the Role
As an AV Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, documenting, and supporting high‑quality audiovisual solutions for our customers. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, sales teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure solutions are well‑designed, technically robust, and delivered to a high standard.
The role includes involvement across the full project lifecycle, from customer‑facing presales support through to post‑sales delivery. As Ricoh continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering opportunities to take on additional responsibilities aligned to your capability and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design audiovisual solutions aligned to customer and project requirements
- Review and amend Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Statements of Work
- Produce detailed technical documentation, including:
- System schematics
- Cable schedules
- Elevations and floorplans
- Quick start guides and O&M manuals
- Maintain and improve engineering documentation and systems
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of company management systems
- Provide customer‑facing technical support during presales and post‑sales activities
- Participate actively in internal and external meetings as required
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the experience for staff and customers
- Comply with Ricoh policies, procedures, and quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements

Success in this role means consistently delivering high‑quality AV designs and documentation, achieving relevant certifications in current and emerging technologies, improving engineering processes, and sharing knowledge with colleagues and customers. You’ll build strong, professional relationships and represent Ricoh in a positive and customer‑focused way.
About You
You are an experienced AV professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. You bring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
You will have:
- Proven experience delivering audiovisual designs
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar AV engineering role
- At least 5 years’ experience in commercial AV/ITC integration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High competency with:
- Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- AutoCAD and Visio
- Professional PDF editing tools (e.g. Bluebeam or similar)
- Experience with ConnectWise or ServiceNow (preferred)
The role can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide.
