As the AV Engineer l, you are an expert in AV technology to deliver world class support to our client. The successful candidate will have experience in designing, supporting and driving innovation in AV. Expertise and experience in planning, building, and supporting efficient, large-scale AV solutions will be instrumental in ensuring a solid platform for future growth and success of our business. This role will be responsible for supporting both the infrastructure and live event components of the AV service.
Skills and Expertise:

Provide premier technical support for all meetings, special events and internal meetings.

Technical resource for on-site AV Team.

Act as liaison with AV vendors during determination, evaluation, and resolution of repairs or during upgrades.

Request and provide estimates for 3rd party AV vendor labor costs to be incurred i.e. scheduling for equipment and labor

Assist team members in monitoring and responding to email inquiries and support requests

Provide premier technical support for all audio/visual equipment including but not limited to Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Dante, Biamp, Christie, LED/LCD/Plasma monitors and CMS/TMS video conferencing systems

Experience supporting various unified communications platforms (Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events, Zoom meeting, Zoom webinar, and any other large UC platform provider)

Maintenance and testing of large conference spaces, meeting room audio/visual systems, PC’s, guest devices and hallway interactive displays

Contribute to and assist in driving a consultative environment with the client through innovation and the continuous improvement of audio/visual technologies.

Record all issues, customer requests, project work and support calls into the ticketing system.

Assist in creating, updating and adhering to procedural documents concerning logging, troubleshooting and repairing audio/visual issues and problems.

Maintain the facility technology per process and operational standards.

Able to conduct self and resolve issues in a highly professional manner with appropriate decision making skills based on the situation

Work cross functionally with other team members in areas of large events, IT support, Data center support and other areas assigned by management

This role may require periodic flexible work hours to cover the 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM building operation schedule.

Expert certifications a plus (CTS, Crestron, Microsoft)

Job Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum 5 years audio/visual support in a corporate environment

Minimum 3 years of live large-scale production support

AVIXA/CTS, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, Dante, QSC and/or Microsoft Certifications

Experience with event AV and live event planning

Familiarity with virtual production tools (video/audio encoders, NDI, vMIX, RTMP, streaming platforms, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft O365 Suite with a focus on Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events and Zoom & Zoom Webinar, operational activities and engineering

Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot signal path for audio and video

Must be able to read and interpret AV drawings

Experience with networked AV technology
Minimum Education Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Salary Range
$51,434.40 - $77,151.60 USD (Salary)
