Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of advertising account executives who work with automotive dealers and advertising agencies in the Chicagoland area to develop advertising solutions that help them reach customers in their primary market areas. Coaches and develops sales team, leads regular sales team meetings and manages team progress towards fiscal and business objectives within a fast-paced B2B media sales environment.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities

  • Oversees the hiring, training, evaluating and assisting of a motivated staff to carry out automotive advertising sales functions.
  • Develops relationships with clients, advertising agencies and automotive associations in the marketplace alongside sales team members.
  • Creates a positive, winning sales culture where automotive category expertise and sales skills are continually growing and developing.
  • Coaches advertising account executives to develop presentations and proposals that meet automotive clients' needs and budget requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with sellers and partner teams in developing business pitches and sales presentations that support the product value proposition.
  • Provides regular sales forecasting and business reviews.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
