We are looking for an Automation Systems Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to Director, Equipment Engineering - Automation and based in Fremont, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, build, test, and launch of proprietary equipment.
  • Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Bloom equipment.
  • Collaborate with process and design teams to define equipment specifications.
  • Oversee the entire equipment development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and reporting.
  • Oversee equipment build and test processes.
  • Ensure equipment quality assurance throughout development and implementation.
  • Work with facility and maintenance engineers to install and support equipment in the factory.
  • BSc or advanced degree in mechanical, chemical, physics or related engineering field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
  • Experience with supplier management and remote team collaboration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BSc or advanced degree in mechanical, chemical, physics or related engineering field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
  • Experience with supplier management and remote team collaboration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiar with process engineering fundamentals (Cp, CpK, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in high-volume thin ceramics, solar, and battery manufacturing is a plus

Salary Ranges:$82,000.00 - $118,000.00
