Salary Nonexempt - security (United States of America)We seek a dynamic Automation Intern to support key business initiatives and growth. We are also looking for an intern to step in and make an impact from day one. The intern experience will be designed to provide opportunities to work directly with the Automation team on various potential projects, including:
- Improve and create new automation data sets using Excel, Business Objects, and JDE, focusing on automated reporting results.
- Assist the Automation team with optimizing finished goods packaging methods.
What does the internship experience look like?
As an intern, you will have exposure to real projects and will play a crucial role in the decision-making process. The experience will include:
• Mentoring
• Group Intern learning experiences and events (for summer interns)
• Business exposure
• Valuable project management experience
• Final “report out” with all other interns highlighting key learnings and summer experience
What will I gain from the internship?
You will gain an understanding of the Altium Packaging business and a wealth of functional Automation experience to develop leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration, presentation & public speaking skills, and experience with various technologies. Our interns participate in projects that add tremendous value to the company. The skills you develop from this internship will serve you well in the rest of your education, as well as in your professional life.
Qualifications
Candidates should be a junior or senior enrolled in a bachelor’s program; Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Packaging Science or Automation programs preferred
GPA minimum of 3.0 is required.
Must be available to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks, though 12 weeks is preferred (May-August)
Experience with MS Excel is required.
Should have familiarity with using Solid Works and AutoCAD
