JOB PURPOSE:
As the Automation specialist, you design and implement automated systems that meet the needs of the manufacturing organization.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK:
France (Villeneuve d'Ascq)
Report to: Data translator CE
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
System and automation implementation:

• Design and implement automated systems that meet the needs of the manufacturing organization (i.e., in line with CE Analytics roadmap and Global Digital Manufacturing strategy)
• Manage implementation and calibration of new sensors on the line, in coordination with the plants
• Connect data generated by the line to a central system in a structure way enabling Advanced Analytics use cases prioritized by the Data Translator CE (e.g., extract data from PLC into Tags)
• Animate the community of plant automation managers, providing recommendations on sensors, potential updates or upgrades and ensuring harmonized practices
• Share best-practices related to sensor usage across sites
• Keep abreast of new technology development linked to automation/ sensors/ data collection Training
• Train staff on how to use the new systems, sensors in the manufacturing plant

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Engineering background
• First experience in data analysis
• Project management skills

Other Competency Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Rigorous and structured
• Proficiency in decision-support tools (e.g. PowerBI)
• Training of the staff on how to use a new sensor/ system implemented and convert Tag into data
• Implementation and calibration of new sensors on the line
• CE Analytics use case roadmap, established by Data translator CE
• Data infrastructure, sensor and automation tools development strategy
• CAPEX/ Investment plan in plants linked to automation, validating that they meet specifications in terms of sensor/ data collection
• Overall training program related to the use of automated systems
