This is an onsite position, 5 days/week, in the Vadodara office. Remote applicants will not be considered.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer – Automation with hands-on experience in Playwright to join our QA team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring high-quality web applications, and contributing to a robust QA process.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Postman for web applications.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
Enhance automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.
Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams for resolution.
Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in Automation Testing.
Strong proficiency in Playwright
Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming languages.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM).
Knowledge of API testing (Postman, REST Assured) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with SaaS web applications and large-scale websites.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL for database testing.
Familiarity with TDD, unit testing, and QA lifecycle processes.
Experience with Selenium or similar tools using an object-oriented approach.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Ability to work proactively in a Scrum/Agile environment.
KPIs & Performance Metrics
Automation Coverage: Achieve 70–80% coverage of functional test cases.
Test Execution Efficiency: Reduce manual regression time by 50% through automation.
Defect Detection Rate: Identify 90% of critical defects before production release.
Script Stability: Maintain <5% failure rate in automated runs.
CI/CD Integration: Ensure 100% integration of automated tests in pipelines.
Defect Leakage: Keep production defect leakage below 2%.
Timely Delivery: Deliver automation scripts within 2–3 days of feature completion.
Collaboration: Participate in all sprint ceremonies and provide clear QA updates.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
