ResponsibilitiesServe as QA Analyst supporting a team engaged in creating a microservice-based application for a federal government client. Follow the client's established standards, processes, and testing strategies. Develop and perform functional testing that includes automated testing for all code that is written, as well as non-functional testing that includes load and performance testing to ensure the capacity and stability of the applications, Security Testing to check for basic security vulnerabilities, and accessibility testing to balance the needs of people with differing disabilities. The ideal candidate for this position meets the requirements of the position, is personable, and can work in a cross-functional team. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a necessity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategies in coordination with team members and system owners
- Determine optimal testing approach and tools for target applications and systems including automated, manual, and accessibility testing
- Execute, document, and report on tests, communicate results to the team and system owners
- Engage proactively to ensure testing approach is sound and provides meaningful outputs
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in using automation tools for testing systems and applications, writing and executing test scripts.
- Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and tools.
- Experience with one or more tools such as GitHub Issues/GitLab Issues, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, SonarQube, aXe, pa11y, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer, JAWS, NVDA, NeoLoad, Postman
- Understanding and experience developing test automation strategies
- Ability to GUI driven tools to record UI actions.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.2) and testing tools
- Experience collaborating with systems and IT operations.
- Comfort with rapidly changing applications and environments.
- Strong grasp of test automation tools.
- A strong focus on business outcomes.
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders
Desired Qualifications:
- Federal Government experience as a contractor
- Experience with cloud automation DevOps, Infrastructure Planning
- DHS Trusted Tester Certification (free accessibility training)
- Ability to work independently and in an awesome team setting
- Active Public Trust (or higher) clearance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This is a remote/work-from-home position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video and audio calls during standard working hours. Standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and webcam will be used regularly.

Travel Requirement
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
