MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test suites to ensure the quality and accuracy of our applications. You will work closely with the functional and automation QA teams to develop robust and maintainable automation scripts for functional and regression testing and ensure high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, script, and execute automated tests for functional and regression testing using tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
· Maintain and update automation test scripts as new features are added or requirements change.
· Work with QA and development teams to review requirements, identify testing needs, and support the automation process.
· Design and maintain automation frameworks for improved test coverage and script reusability.
· Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for seamless test execution and reporting.
· Document test cases, test scripts, processes, and results in a clear and detailed manner.
· Continuously learn, adapt, and adopt best practices related to automation testing.
· (Optional/Plus) Exposure to performance testing is a plus but not required.
Skills Required:
· 2–5 years hands-on experience in automation testing for web applications.
· Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium and/or Playwright.
· Good knowledge of scripting/coding languages such as Java and/or JavaScript.
· Familiarity with testing frameworks like WebdriverIO, TestNG, Mocha, Chai, or similar.
· Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
· Basic proficiency in SQL for test data management and validation.
· Basic understanding of frameworks and concepts such as Page Object Model (POM), Node.js, or Babel is preferred.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
· Team player mindset and willingness to learn new tools/technologies.
Experience:
· 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing
Qualification:
· Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
