As a Member of Technical Staff . Skills required are :

  • Automation experience using Python.

  • Automation experience with C++ is a plus

  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies - Unit Testing, Integration Testing, End to End Testing, Performance and Interop testing.

  • Test concepts like test suites, test cases, parameterized testing, mocks & stubs.

  • Windows/macOS event monitoring

  • Static code analysis and code coverage tools like SonarQube & CodeQL.

  • Able to write and maintain test scripts in bash, PowerShell & Python

What will you bring to Omnissa?

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.

  • Hands-on with test frameworks like Google Test, Nunit, Python Behave.

  • Running automated tests in Docker containers and Virtual Machines.

  • Incorporating automated testing in CI/CD pipelines using Github integrations such as Github actions and Github workflows.

  • Debugging & fixing issues in CI/CD pipelines.

  • Collaborate with developers, identify test scenarios from feature specifications. Document and create test cases in TestRails.

  • Experience with cloud platforms like VMware vCloud, AWS or Azure.

  • Git, Github Actions, bazel, Shell scripting in bash and PowerShell, Yaml, Docker, Vi

Location: Chennai
Location Type: HYBRID. This role offers a balanced arrangement, with the expectation of working 3 days a week in our local office and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days. It is essential that you reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location for the in-office workdays. 

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? 

This role reports to the Engineering Manager, DEEM. The team is based out of Chennai & Bangalore. We are a close-knit group of senior engineers with deep experience delivering our DEX Agent to the world’s largest companies. We work closely with our counterparts in the US to drive key platform improvements focused on security, service availability, resilience, and cost reduction. The success of our customers is our highest priority. 

Skills Required

  • Automation experience using Python
