Job SummaryThis role supports HCSC's Customer Service operations by developing and enhancing desktop automation tools that improve efficiency and streamline workflows for frontline service teams. Working closely with business stakeholders, the Automation Programmer gathers requirements, analyzes processes, designs automated solutions, and performs testing to ensure applications meet customer needs and deliver measurable time savings.The position balances programming, business analysis, and quality assurance responsibilities, with a focus on maintaining existing applications while also building new desktop-based solutions using technologies such as C#, VB.NET, SQL, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical partners.

Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in technical support or programming OR 7 years of experience in technical support or programming.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with database design, structure and manipulation.
- Experience working independently and in a team setting with the planning, design and execution of assigned projects.
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, VB.NET, C+, C# and others.
- Experience with identifying problems and providing solutions through automated solutions or major process improvement efforts.
- Experience with writing, coding, testing, and implementing automated solutions.
- Experience effectively leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders and leaders to communicate both technical and non-technical subject matter through verbal and written communication, outlining and tracking next steps and identifying risks and effectively communicating potential solutions.
- Experience managing completion of multiple projects.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to evaluate complexity of a project with conversion to a timeline.
- Advanced PC proficiency with Microsoft Access and Excel, including an understanding of visual basic & macros.
