The Role...
We are looking for an Automation Product Manager to join us and work alongside our development, marketing and commercial teams to manage the automation roadmap at Oxford Nanopore Technologies.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management you will have a background in automation or NGS product management or marketing. A good understanding of NGS or automation products and markets and be able to work collaboratively with others across the wider business.
The Details...
- Manage and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals for the automation product area.
- Translate high-level business, market and user requirements into detailed product requirements and user needs.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Own the product lifecycle: concept, specification, development, launch, and iteration.
- Prioritize features and manage the product backlog
- Analyze usage data, customer feedback, and market trends to define and track key performance indicators and make data-informed decisions.
- Serve as a product advisor and communicate effectively with R&D and commercial teams to ensure alignment on the technical capabilities of the product
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the product development lifecycle
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
