Automation Platform Developer

The Challenge (Responsibilities)

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation platform features using Python.
• Support the lead developer with code changes, feature enhancements, debugging, and technical implementation.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions supporting automotive multimedia systems.
• Improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of existing automation tools.
• Participate in software development activities within an Agile environment.
• Perform quality assurance, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation solutions.
• Investigate software and platform issues and perform structured root cause analysis.
• Deliver timely and practical solutions to technical issues.
• Support automation software used with automotive multimedia head units.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term improvements.
• Provide technical support to internal users of automation platforms and tools.
• Collaborate with users to understand requirements, issues, and opportunities for platform enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve automation tools, workflows, and team productivity.

Your Profile (Requirements)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on Python scripting and development experience.
• 8 to 10 years of total professional experience (Total professional experience must not exceed 10 years).
• Strong software development, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve issues efficiently.
• High-Performance Mindset: Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.
• Technologist DNA: A deep understanding of the difference between "coding" and "engineering."

Desired

• Strong hands-on expertise with Linux and FastAPI.
• Hardware control scripting, including I2C, GVIF, and Serial communication.
• In-vehicle network protocols, including CAN, CAN FD, and Ethernet.
• Exposure to automotive multimedia/head-unit systems and automated testing for automotive environments.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Git/version control, and CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants, specifically GCP/AWS and building/training AI agents or ML models.

Languages

• Advanced Oral English: For seamless collaboration with global teams.
• Advanced Spanish.

• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs.
