Responsible for the automation of quality assurance and testing process, tools, and standards by using an automation framework, to create, maintain and execute automated and manual regression test scripts for applications supported by Global Corporate Systems. Identify and document defects found during a test execution and progress through to resolution in a timely manner. Support agile testing by working directly with business partners and developers to create and execute user story test cases. Support all activities related to Release Management.
What you'll be doing
Functional Responsibilities
- Participate in a test automation tool strategy for an automated component testing harness.
- Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents. Requirements will be provided by Release Management and Support Team.
- Develop, maintain and execute automated and manual tests are needed in support of agile testing and regression testing.
- Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats.
- Integrate the test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses
- Participate effectively in estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis is desired.
- Conduct regression test execution using manual and automated test scripts.
- Maintain the Regression Testing calendar to show planned regression test executions.
- Report & monitor test metrics and defect analysis.
- Develop and execute automated tests using Tosca is added advantage.
- Proactively review the use of regression/defect software (Tosca) and other available solutions, provide suggestions for continuous improvement based upon best practice.
- Complete regression test cycle within defined timescales to meet release deliverables.
Internal Relationship Management
- Day to day interaction will take place with Release Management, Support and Project teams globally.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other regions peers/teams.
- Working with business partners to understand and develop user stories and appropriate test cases.
- Working with business partners to provide feedback, metrics, and insight regarding test results and released changes.
- Coordinate communications within support and users for Corporate system.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant background
- Ideally with 6 months internship duration.
- Database administration experience is a plus.
- Experience in programming.
- Knowledge of structured testing methodologies. Certification in testing tools or testing skills is a plus.
- Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to handle demanding work situations with multiple priorities.
- Ability to interface with business users independently.
