Job Description

  • Development and standardization of new manufacturing equipment and process (equipment automation) for all ContiTech products worldwide
  • Development and rollout of modifications due to trend scounting, strategy, products change and competitive according to the standards for existing manufacturing equipment (related to assembly, automation and intralogistic) for all ContiTech products
  • Support the business area or plant to achieve compliance with the planned project-specific parameters: unit labor costs, cycle time, process capability, quality, scrap rate, ergonomics, energy and  consumables consumption as well as other enviromental related
  • Alignment with the available  best practice and lessons learned measures ww
  • Design of machine, workplace and workflow into the BoB materialflow not limited to highest level of automation and intralogics 
  • Perform value engineering (TCO & Value for money) by understanding & influenceing the KPIs in the related area
  • Realization of advanced quality planning and quality assurance during the development process
  • Apply and ensure continuous improvement of machinery in regards to safety, quality, efficiency, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, energy consumption
  • Manage complex project with interdiscplinary parties in the related area

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Machine design, process engineering, automation, production technology)
  • Several years of experience in industrial and process engineering as well as working in the field of rubber industry or machinery engineering
  • High interest and experience in developing production technology - setting new standard
  • Willingness & ability to effectively present information from comprehend, analyze, calculate and interpret KPIs and reports
  • Strong organization and analytical skills
  • Fluent English language skills in spoken and written 
  • Willingness to travel
