As our Automation Engineering Lead, you will own the quality strategy across a group of development teams building the communication products that millions of businesses rely on every day. You will be the person who ensures that what we ship is reliable, continuously-tested, and production-ready — and that every engineer in the group feels accountable for quality. Your key responsibilities:- Define and drive the quality strategy across multiple development teams, aligning it with engineering and business goals
- Establish quality standards, metrics, and governance processes that promote continuous improvement and release confidence
- Drive an automation-first approach — ensuring critical paths are automated and integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop comprehensive test strategies covering functional, non-functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and compatibility testing
- Mentor and coach QA and Automation Engineers, fostering skill growth and a culture of learning
- Collaborate with QA Architects, Engineering Managers, and Product Managers to align on enterprise-wide quality standards
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams through guilds, workshops, and documentation
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or strategic role
- Proven experience testing SaaS platforms in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
- Strong background in test automation — framework design, CI/CD integration, and automation strategy
- Hands-on experience with Postman and automation tools such as Playwright/ Selenium / K6 / JMeter/
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/ GitHub Actions/ GitLab CI
- Solid knowledge of API testing, microservices architecture, and cloud-native applications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to influence at all levels
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
Experience we consider a plus:
- Background in load testing and/or chaos engineering
- Experience in contact center, or unified communications platforms
