About the Role
Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, the role will play a critical part in driving the company's cutting-edge automation initiatives. Based at the Essity, Nakasi site, this position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that will have a significant impact on the business.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and implement PLC-based control systems for industrial automation projects that combine drives, sensors and HMI to automate manufacturing processes
- Document control system designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, and communication protocols
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and other technical drawings
- Experience in project management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
