Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Automation Engineer to lead the test automation efforts within our UFED group.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the automation vision, stabilize and evolve the infrastructure, and mentor team members transitioning into automation roles.
You will be the first dedicated automation expert in the group, with the autonomy to define best practices and drive quality across the product lifecycle.
What You’ll Do:
- Take full ownership of the test automation infrastructure: design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable frameworks.
- Define and implement the automation strategy and roadmap in alignment with product and quality goals.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and DevOps to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and support team members in adopting automation practices and tools.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and ensure clear defect reporting.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing tools, processes, and coverage.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Test Automation roles.
- Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. C#, Python)
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong communication skills in technical English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of test design best practices and reusable test components.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
- Background in mentoring or leading QA/automation initiatives.
