About the role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to strengthen our team in Huskvarna. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing automation solutions and test systems used within our engineering and product development environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming and developing PLC-based automation solutions, primarily in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
  • Commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment and test systems
  • Supporting machine safety implementation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  • Working with system integration and communication between automation systems and connected equipment
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across product groups, projects, and improvement initiatives
  • Participating in the development of new test solutions as well as the continuous improvement of existing systems
  • Providing technical expertise and contributing to long-term automation strategies

This is a hands-on role where you will drive automation initiatives independently while working closely with engineers, developers, and internal customers.

About you

Desired skills, qualifications, and experience

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • Several years of experience working with industrial automation systems
  • Extensive experience programming PLC systems in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
  • Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards and implementation
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and system integration
  • Experience working with test systems or automated production equipment is highly beneficial
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Swedish language skills are strongly meritorious
