This Position reports to:
Automation Engineering - ManagerYour role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your knowledge by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

This role is contributing to the machine automation within ABB's Automation division in Coimbatore-India region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Planning, monitoring, and executing application development tasks, including new product development, incremental modifications, and timely closure of assigned work.
Providing technical support for testing, installation, commissioning, debugging, and diagnostics activities.
Translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering documentation through modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations, while applying design thinking and best practices.
Assisting in preparing engineering proposals and presentations and maintaining effective communication with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Identifying and managing project risks/issues, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation or related discipline).
Minimum 1-3 years of application development and support experience.
Well-developed understanding of Industrial Automation systems like PLCs, motors, drives, motion control and robotic systems
Demonstrable experience in building strong and enduring customer relationships within highly dynamic and competitive markets
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
Willing to travel for site support and commissioning as required.
