We are seeking an Automation Engineer who will be responsible for supporting design, implementation and maintenance of automation systems in projects and site operations.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- You'll keep everything running smoothly and reliably, making sure it works well for production. This includes using computers and programs (IT/OT).
- You'll build, improve, and fix the computer programs and equipment that control our machines (DCS/Scada/PLCs/control networks), making sure they're cost-effective, meet deadlines, and work well for production.
- You'll design, provide and maintain data archiving configurations (Historian) for modules and participate in their visualization for various needs.
- You'll provide control over software changes (Software Change Controls) related to automation and changes to automation systems.
- You'll be the lead when we acquire new equipment or update existing systems. You'll ensure that everything is safe, meets our needs, and works properly. This includes planning, checking details, testing new equipment, and getting everything up and running smoothly.
- You'll manage IT/OT service configurations by identifying, evaluating, reporting, checking, and auditing them, ensuring compliance with OT and cybersecurity procedures.
- You'll work with others during inspections and audits, and may even help create new procedures. If necessary, you'll participate in the creation of general standard procedures (SOP).
- You'll help keep our systems safe and up-to-date as well as independently fix problems (deviations) with equipment and systems in automation projects.
What you will bring to the role:
- Degree in engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1of year of experience in engineering and/or production environment.
- Experience with Scada systems, specifically GE iFIX.
- Experience with PLC programming, specifically Siemens (STEP 7 and TIA portal).
- Knowledge of SQL databases, networking and AD administration.
- Fluent in English and proficient in local language.
