Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in Java, Python, TestNG, Groovy, Git, Jenkins, and basic Linux and shell scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts and automation frameworks to enhance our software testing process. Experience with the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and telephony automation will be considered a strong advantage.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Automation Frameworks: Create, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, Python, TestNG, and Groovy.

  • Test Script Development: Write and execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and stability of software applications.

  • Continuous Integration: Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins to support automated testing and deployment.

  • Version Control: Utilise Git for source control management and ensure proper versioning of scripts and automation tools.

  • Linux and Shell Scripting: Develop and execute shell scripts to support automation tasks and manage Linux-based environments.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development, QA, and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities and streamline testing processes.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Document test cases, results, and maintain test scripts in a shared repository.

  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify, analyse, and troubleshoot automation issues, providing resolutions to ensure test coverage and quality.

  • SIP and Telephony Automation (Preferred): Develop and execute automated test scripts for SIP protocol-based applications or telephony systems, and troubleshoot related issues.

Qualifications:
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: must have experience in software automation or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming.

  • Experience with TestNG for test automation.

  • Hands-on experience with Groovy scripting.

  • Proficient with Git for version control.

  • Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.

  • Familiarity with SIP protocol or telephony automation tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • -Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 Following skills and knowledge advantageous :

  • Experience in testing telephony or VOIP applications.

  • Understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools.

  • Knowledge of other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
