Job DescriptionWe’re looking for an Automation Application Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team, designing, developing, testing, and commissioning automation and control solutions used in real-world environments.
You’ll work across systems involving pumps, motors, valves, telemetry, sensors, irrigation, hydraulics, and process control equipment - developing reliable automation logic and troubleshooting issues in the field.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, contractors, and customers to deliver practical, scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and configuring automation and control logic
- Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting systems
- Supporting telemetry, SCADA, and field device integration
- Investigating faults and improving system performance
- Producing technical documentation and maintaining configurations
- Supporting customers and internal teams with technical advice
You’re a practical, solutions-focused engineer who enjoys problem-solving and understanding how systems operate in the field. You bring strong troubleshooting capability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience with automation programming or industrial control systems
- Understanding of telemetry, SCADA, Modbus, sensors, or industrial communications
- Experience with pumps, irrigation, water/wastewater, hydraulics, or process systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- A collaborative approach and continuous improvement mindset
