Join the Automation and AI team to develop tools for Unity and backend systems, enhancing game operations and player experiences through AI-driven automation.
Summary Generated by Built In

Join Aristocrat's newly established Robotic Process and Cognitive Technology team, where we're reimagining how we build, operate, and support our live games.

As a Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineer, you'll design and deliver automation tools, AI-powered solutions, and intelligent platforms that improve efficiency and drive innovation across Product Madness.

Working closely with designers, data scientists, QA specialists, product teams, and engineers, you'll streamline workflows, integrate solutions with our Unity gaming platforms and backend systems, and help deliver high-quality games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.

What You'll Do
  • Build, develop, and maintain both front-end (Unity) and back-end services (APIs, microservices, databases) to support tools and automation workflows driven by intelligent systems.

  • Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance features that integrate with existing game codebases and infrastructure.

  • Develop and support custom Unity editor tools to streamline repetitive tasks, such as content creation workflows, build pipelines, and performance checks.

  • Leverage Unity’s scripting APIs to integrate AI services and automate manual steps in the development and liveOps processes.

  • Develop and optimize server-side applications and microservices that power AI features, data processing, and real-time analytics.

  • Partner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of solutions powered by artificial intelligence.

  • Work closely with data scientists and AI specialists to integrate machine learning models, autonomous agents, and other advanced AI techniques into Unity and supporting platforms.

  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks to determine feasibility, integration points, and return on investment for the business.

  • Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, functional, regression) to ensure reliability and maintainability of new and existing systems.

  • Work together with game developers, architects, and product managers to identify challenges and opportunities for automation and AI application.

  • Document builds, workflows, and guidelines for broader internal adoption.

  • Actively seek out areas for optimization, new tools, or process upgrades, and remain informed about the latest AI, gaming, and automation trends.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven hands-on experience in full stack development, preferably within a gaming setting.

  • More than one year of professional experience in AI and Automation development and implementation.

  • Proficiency in Unity (C#) with proven experience crafting editor tools, game modules, or liveOps features.

  • Strong back-end development experience with a modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or Node.js) and frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET, Django, Express).

  • Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and crafting RESTful APIs or microservices architectures.

  • Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD practices and tools (Git, Docker, Jenkins, etc.).

  • Understanding of software engineering guidelines (build patterns, code reviews, testing, and version control).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage multi-functionally in an agile environment.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs) or integrating third-party AI services.

  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including serverless computing, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.

  • Familiarity with gaming analytics, real-time multiplayer systems, or other liveops-related technologies.

  • Passion for gaming and a keen interest in the future of game development using sophisticated technology.
