The Role

Thomson Reuters is a “Great Place to Work® certified Organization" is hiring Automation & AI Developer. In this role, you will mentor and guide others by reviewing the code of more junior software engineers as well as encourage others to grow their technical skillset. Sr. Software Development Engineers are creative problem solvers and are involved in continuously driving improvements across the software development life cycle as well as ensure best practices are utilized.

About the Role

In this role as a Automation & AI Developer, you will:

  • Instrumental in building world class RPA solutions within Thomson Reuters’ automation ecosystem.

  • Research, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain automated processes; ensure optimization of BOTs and timely, accurate process output.

  • Experience in various types of testing: systems, functional, acceptance, validation, etc., and apply the needs of the user to the design and development of the solution.

  • Partner with Business Process Analysts and Architects on requirements, troubleshooting and managing the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) portfolio of BOTs and processes.

  • Design, develop and implement RPA solutions which adhere to coding best practices and are re-usable. Engage with Technology community on Automation knowledge sharing, best practices, governance.

  • Technical understanding of the Power Platform including Power App, Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate and its implementation/support.

  • Stay abreast of vendor specific best practices and shares with automation partners.

  • Mentors aspiring people from operations team to up-skill them as RPA developers, and utilize their efforts in developing RPA solutions.

  • Design, develop and implement R&D and pre-product prototype solutions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create new automation processes.

  • Automation solutions which span across multiple automation constructs like OCR, AI etc. would make a strong case.

  • Having experience in implementing chatbot functionality would be good to have.

  • Connect to Database and integrate the code with the visualization tools by enabling interaction with database/bot/Power BI.

  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.

  • Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Automation & AI Developer, if your background includes:

  • UiPath is the product of choice and the candidate should have experience with UiPath implementation.

  • Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform – MS PowerApps, MS Flow and PowerBI.

  • We are looking for 4-6 years of Experience.

  • Experience developing new PowerApps model apps as well as enhancing existing apps.

  • Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods.

  • Experience interfacing with customers or other development teams.

  • Seasoned agile practitioner.

  • Experience in any of programming languages like C#, .NET, Java, VBScript and Web Service Protocols.

  • Good to have experience or familiarity with automated testing tools.

  • Experience working with SAP (ERP), SFDC, Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Have led a team of junior developers to guide/mentor them on best practices of RPA solution.

  • Owned review of production ready deliverables.

  • Relevant experience/awareness in Python, Chatbots, OCR, ML and AI techniques.

  • Experience in creating workflows, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.

  • Knowledge of frameworks/systems like AngularJS, Git and more.

  • Experience in Power BI or any visualizations tools is preferred.
