As a Field Applications Engineer, the candidate will be responsible SiC market investigation and technical field support of onsemi SiC Bare Die and Module products. The candidate shall be willing to provide technical engagement with customers, for product specifications, product selection, system design, reliability, quality and manufacturing process. Target customers are Power Module Manufactures, including OEM and Tier 1 in-house modules. This position requires power module related FAE or RnD experience.
Responsibilities- Assist customer design engineers to successfully incorporate onsemi SiC power devices in their products. Build up trust and reliable customer relationship.
- Act as the interface between onsemi and the market. Provide market feedback and intelligence to the company with consolidated customer requirements to define new products and product enhancements.
- Understand customer tech needs and requirements, and answer technical inquiries from customers with proper documentation and timely feedback / analysis. Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training.
- Accompany with Field Sales team, to ensure the path from design in and design win in customer projects.
- Internal support for technical issue debug, coordinate with application engineer team.
- Master Degree, major in Electrical Engineering; Power Electronics Preferred; Semiconductor; Automation or Material Science.
- Experience on power module design or power electronics products, including Traction, OBC and other hardware RnD experience.
- Good communication skills. Fluent in English.
- A passion for SiC power devices and knowledge of the power device market.
- Understanding of the selling process and willing to accommodate with field sales team.
- Proactive attitude, willing to work under pressure.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Prefer working experience in OEMs or Tier 1s as RnD role.
