Remote position open to candidates residing in Pennsylvania.

Pay rate starting at $17.50/hr 


Position Details: 

The Authorization Specialist performs all functions associated with the entire registration process of consumers, financial set-up of consumers insurance, consumer eligibility checking and all authorization related functions.

The Authorization Specialist will:

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolves issues to facilitate the efficient and timely entry of authorizations, consumer registration and consumer eligibility checking.
  • Regularly communicate with management, staff and all other stakeholders with relevant information, feedback and issues relating to their respective programs and processes. 
  • Handle all aspects of entering authorizations and registrations into the core billing system within established timeframes for all programs and perform quality control verification on all authorizations entered.
  • Perform all aspects of eligibility verification checking and associated functional tasks.
  • Perform all aspects of consumer registration into the core billing system related to demographics, consumer financial information, etc.
  • Facilitate and coordinate all processes relating to both receipt and distribution of documents, reports, etc. from programs and sites to the Central Business Office relating to Authorizations, Financial Set-up, registration and eligibility checking.

Preferred Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • 2 – 3 years of clerical and previous insurance experience required.
  • H.S. Diploma or GED with an Associate Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and within a group, with minimal daily supervision
  • Proven ability to think outside the box to perform desired results. 
  • Must be able to multitask and work in very high paced job environment.

Skills Required
