The Auditor will participate in and document walkthroughs, prepare workpapers and draw conclusions to fulfill the annual internal audit and assurance plan. Responsible for demonstrating a basic understanding of accounting and auditing, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and compliance with other applicable regulations.

 

How you’ll contribute 

An Auditor who excels in this role:

  • Assists with and contributes to the development of risk-based audit workplans and goals for the enterprise risk assurance function including identifying risks, evaluating functions, controls, and data. 

  • Executes risk-based audit procedures and work programs for each assigned project.

  • Prepares work programs as assigned in a timely manner and with adequate supporting documentation for test work, findings, and corrective action plans.

  • Balances the execution of simultaneous projects including documenting walkthroughs, executing assigned work program, identifying potential audit issues/operational improvements, informing the project manager of engagement status, and challenging current procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Gains an understanding of and begin to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and discuss conclusions with management.

  • Composes issues, recommendations and reports.

  • Communicates (verbal and written) with business partners on all projects, including but not limited to making requests, communicating status, and documentation of issues and improvement opportunities.

  • Accepts and incorporates feedback.

What we’re looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

  • Experience: 1 -3 years related experience

  • Certifications: Should have or be actively seeking a certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)

  • Travel: Up to 25% of the time

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 1-3 years of related audit or accounting experience
  • Have or be actively seeking a professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of accounting and auditing, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare workpapers and audit documentation
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
