Summary Statement:
The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing compliance, financial and operational audits. This role is key to verifying and validating full compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board (GCB) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices and procedures.
Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Support the Executive Director of Internal Audit with implementing and achieving department goals that support the overall property.
- Assess compliance with federal and state regulation, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company processes, procedures, and controls are designed and operating effectively, and that assets are safeguarded.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company information obtained during an audit assignment.
- Execute precise audit procedures by analyzing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures.
- Continually evaluate business processes and identify ways to improve productivity, reduce costs and ensure that resources are effectively being utilized.
- Collaborate with team members to set audit goals and responsibilities.
- Adapt quickly and effectively to procedural changes and assist with other special projects.
- Monitor standards, daily work and running of all reports for the department and property.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

Preferred:
- Previous experience using audit programs including accounting software, gaming compliance, SOX compliance and IT audit systems.
- Previous experience using AuditBoard.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence reporting software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
- Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and standards.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
- Master of Business Administration or Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Position required licenses (Nevada Gaming License)
Preferred:
- Hold or on the pursuit to hold a CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or CAMS certification.
