Job Summary

Responsible for performing quarterly audit engagements year-round to help identify and manage risks to the business. Participate as active members of the engagement team throughout each phase (i.e., planning, execution and reporting). With our standard engagement cadence, the individual in this role will gain broad exposure to our businesses and processes. Work collaboratively and independently to conduct audits across operational, financial, regulatory and/or technology areas across the Company. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Executes aspects of the standard internal audit process, which includes the three phases of planning, execution and reporting out to business management.
  • Performs thorough inquiry and data analysis to understand business operations and assist in developing project scope.
  • Contributes to overall planning efforts for engagement timeline and approach.
  • Examines records, documents, methods, policies, costs and other factors to determine if functional areas are conducting operations in accordance with established policies/procedures, best practices, United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and governmental and legal requirements.
  • Applies appropriate audit procedures to the areas reviewed to ensure that controls are tested and all significant risks are addressed.
  • Prepares clear and well-organized audit work papers documenting root-cause, work performed, investigation summaries and recommendations.
  • Formulates appropriate conclusions and clearly documents findings based on testing results. Combines knowledge of Company operations with testing results to determine control effectiveness.
  • Identifies audit findings and considers corrective actions.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement to audit methodology, tools and training.
  • Supports department objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Establishes working relationships with key personnel throughout the Company sufficiently to gain respect and understanding while maintaining an objective focus.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with internal business partners (Retail, HR, GA, EHS, Facilities, Warehouse, and Security) in bringing awareness to compliance findings observed during audits.
  • Ideal candidate needs excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills and works well in a team environment. Including strong written and verbal communications is a must.
  • Works with extensive discretion as to work details on assignments of varying difficulty and sensitive nature.
  • Understands business processes and risks. Proactively anticipates process issues and business risks and develops related solutions that may involve redirecting audit approach or business processes.
  • Ideal candidate needs to be assertive, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to assist other team members in areas outside of direct assignments, when necessary.
  • Collaborates in a virtual environment to complete projects with team members in various locations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, and/or related Business field(s) of study is recommended.
  • 2-5 years of experience, internal and/or external audit experience is preferred.
  • Domestic overnight travel up to 50% may be required.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $61,460.28 - $92,190.42

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
