You will be responsible for:
- Leading audit, review, and compilation engagements for nonprofit organizations, including single audits for governmentally funded entities.
- Managing engagements from planning through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with professional standards.
- Serving as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and maintaining a strong understanding of their operations, funding sources, and compliance environment.
- Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of seniors and staff to ensure quality and support professional development.
- Applying and maintaining technical expertise in nonprofit accounting and reporting, U.S. GAAS, Government Auditing Standards, and Uniform Guidance. Familiarity with California state regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to nonprofit organizations is a plus.
- Monitoring engagement economics, communicating with partners on key developments, and addressing issues proactively.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us:
- Minimum of five (5) years of public accounting experience, with significant focus in the nonprofit industry, including Single Audits and other compliance engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, and active CPA license.
- Demonstrated progression in technical expertise, engagement leadership, and client responsibility.
- Strong technical research skills with the ability to apply authoritative guidance and provide sound accounting and compliance advice.
- Commitment to continuing professional education and ongoing professional development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
