Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is currently searching for an Audit Coordinator to join our team in Burnaby on a contract until the end of June 2027. 
The Audit Coordinator coordinates and supports the delivery of registrant firm and individual registrant audit programs by managing audit documentation, correspondence, schedules, and follow‑up activities. The role serves as the primary point of contact for auditees, providing process guidance, updates, and responses to inquiries throughout the audit lifecycle. The Audit Coordinator independently tracks milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, maintains audit records and data, and supports continuous improvement of audit program processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

  • Coordinates and supports the delivery of registrant firm and individual registrant audit programs by managing audit documentation, correspondence, schedules, and follow up activities.
  • Serves as a primary coordination point of contact for auditees, responding to inquiries (via phone call and email) and supporting them throughout the audit process. Ensures auditees and auditors are aware of audit progress, timelines, and important dates.
  • Prepares audit-related materials for review by the Audit and Practice Review Committee, including memos, reports, briefing materials, and supporting documentation.  
  • Tracks audit milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, and provides timely reminders to internal and external stakeholders to support on time completion. Collaborates and communicates with managers and staff to ensure the team stays organized and meets deadlines. 
  • Supports the Audit and Practice Review Committee by coordinating committee member recruitment and appointments, developing onboarding materials and onboarding new members, and scheduling meetings while preparing and distributing agendas, recording minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Drafts agendas and records minutes for audit team meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of decisions and action items.
  • Maintains audit data and performs basic data tracking and analysis in support of reporting and program oversight, using tools such as Excel. 
  • Creates, maintains, and updates audit program standard operating procedures, templates, and precedent libraries, and assists with drafting related policies and guidance documents.
  • Supports continuous improvement of audit programs by gathering feedback, identifying process gaps, and assisting with the implementation of improvements to audit related policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Manages audit records and information in SharePoint and Outlook in accordance with established information management practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct leader and, as appropriate, members of the departmental leadership team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

  • 5+ years of relevant previous experience in coordination and/or senior administrative activities is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, maintain accurate program data, monitor deadlines and follow‑ups.
  • Exceptional customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in core office programs and organization-specific software.

This role offers a competitive compensation and benefits program including an annual salary within our hiring range of $62,000 to $69,500 (pro-rated based on the length of contract). For full-time contract employees on this length of contract, we offer:

  • 8% additional pay in lieu of benefits.

  • 10 vacation days per annum (pro-rated based on the length of contract). 

  • A flex day program offering additional paid days off (usually alternating Fridays) as a result of a compressed work week. 

  • A hybrid work model with an assigned schedule confirming days worked remotely and days worked in-office. This role will be required to work in-office a minimum of 2 days per week during regular business operations.  

  • The required tools, equipment, and technology for employees to work remotely are provided. 

  • Free parking at the office, or a transit reimbursement offered to employees who take transit to work; we are centrally located near bus and Skytrain stops.
