Sitting alongside editors of Vanity Fair Italy, the person will be in charge of growing audiences – to websites, social, video and newsletters – and ensure they are the 'right' audiences so that consumer and commercial revenue teams can deliver against their targets and ambitions.

Please note that this role will join Condé Nast Italy with a fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover) of maximum 12 months.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor subscription and membership growth metrics; track major conversion funnels and evaluate high-performing, conversion-driving content to support consumer revenue initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary operational interface with global engineering, product, and platform tech teams (e.g., CMS, newsletter distribution systems, and proprietary tech tools) to troubleshoot technical anomalies and facilitate the deployment of new brand features.

  • Execute comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc deep-dive analyses to investigate significant traffic spikes or performance declines across all platforms, translating raw data into strategic recommendations for management.

  • Manage and streamline content exchange workflows among European editorial teams, coordinating both daily content sharing and synchronized distribution for global cross-country projects and tentpole events.

  • Develop periodic forecast models for annual digital KPIs across multiple regional markets to ensure alignment with overarching organizational targets.

  • Provide day-to-day strategic guidance and hands-on optimization support to editorial teams to maximize content discoverability and enforce SEO best practices.

Primary Skills and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, digital advertising agency or online marketing, advertising, or publishing organisation, with a thorough understanding of online business models and strategies.

  • Full professional proficiency in Italian and English language, written and spoken.

  • Inspirational and effective line management skills.

  • Audience development professional, with deep understanding of editorial SEO, social, newsletters, video and other platforms.

  • A strong understanding of social analytics and trend analysis.

  • Experience of working closely with Product, Editorial, Data and Commercial.

  • Detailed knowledge a major web analytics tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics.

  • Deep understanding of social media channels, features, functionality and use cases.

  • Deep knowledge of SEO impact and best practices

  • Experience with email/newsletter and segmentation strategies.

  • Experience in working on audience development strategies for video and audio.

  • Ability to clearly articulate and present to editorial colleagues and all levels of management.

  • Ability to navigate a complex and matrixed business.

  • Entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, with exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional proficiency in a second European language.

  • Previous experience partnering with Edit, Product, Data and Commercial.

  • Clear communicator and show sound judgement.
