The Audience & Customer Data Analyst is responsible for transforming customer and audience-level data into actionable insights that inform marketing strategy, audience targeting, and performance optimization. This role blends customer data expertise, analytical rigor, and cross functional collaboration to support data-driven decision making for marketing and business stakeholders.
Success in this role requires strong customer data fluency along with a deep understanding of the customer journey and effectively analyzing and communicating audience-level performance across touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Audience Strategy
- Lead audience strategy and targeting approach for their assigned brand across media, CRM, and site
- Drive audience insights and profile analysis to inform targeting strategy and support personalization efforts
- Own new audience processes, documentation, and communication to shape audience builds, activation and measurement requirements
- Manage internal audience roadmap with goals, KPIs, and timing to scale best practices
Data Analysis
- Analyze customer and audience-level data to identify behavioral patterns, funnel progression trends, and conversion outcomes
- Evaluate segmentation logic and audience strategies, identifying improvement opportunities based on performance
- Conduct root-cause and cause-and-effect analysis to understand drivers of business and marketing performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on campaign needs, taxonomy, audience development timelines, and channel-specific delivery requirements
- Support stakeholders in understanding data logic, analytical outcomes, and audience-level implications
- Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from leadership in fast paced environments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in digital paid media, with exposure to audience strategy, data-driven planning, and activation
- Strong understanding of programmatic media, platform targeting capabilities, identity solutions, and audience management workflows
- Deep analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful insights
- Experience working with customer data, audience segmentation, or customer journey analytics
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders at multiple levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business relevant insights
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and audience modeling
- Familiarity with marketing measurement, CRM programs, or multi‑tier marketing environments
- Demonstrated experience leading audience-led testing, measurement frameworks, and performance reporting initiatives
