Position Summary
The Attorney Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role by assisting the Attorney Talent Acquisition (Attorney Recruitment) team with activities related to the sourcing, recruiting and hiring of attorneys, including summer associates, lateral associates, shareholders, and alternative track career attorneys. This role supports the firm's recruiting efforts through proactive candidate sourcing, talent market research, candidate engagement, and coordination of recruitment initiatives. The Attorney Talent Acquisition Specialist partners closely with recruiters, hiring shareholders, and firm leadership to identify, attract, and assess high-caliber legal talent across the firm, while helping build strategic talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities
Firmwide Sourcing & Talent Intelligence
- Source lateral associates and shareholder candidates for open and anticipated positions.
- Leverage sourcing platforms, such as Firm Prospects, Pirical, and LinkedIn Recruiter to develop target candidate lists across practice groups and markets.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospective candidates and cultivate an excellent candidate experience.
- Assist with initial candidate screening and qualification discussions.
- Perform legal market research, competitor analysis, and talent intelligence reporting.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in Workday, including interview activity tracking and recruiting metrics.
Moutain West Full Cycle Recruitment
- Assist the Attorney Talent Acquisition Manager, office Managing Shareholders, and Practice Group Leaders (PGLs) with the recruitment process for summer associates, lateral shareholder, lateral associates, and alternative track attorneys.
- Provide support for the on-campus recruiting process by preparing materials, scheduling callback interviews, following-up with attorneys, and coordinating appropriate communication to candidates.
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Summer Associate Program, including coordinating training, sourcing work assignments, compiling evaluations, planning social events, and other duties associated with the Program.
- Assist in drafting/updating job postings; reviews and processes resumes in the applicant tracking system, Workday, and generate reports when necessary.
- Manage and update applicant databases with relevant information and prepares offer package.
- Coordinate in-person or virtual interview schedules and gathers feedback on prospective candidates.
- Interface effectively with candidates or legal search firms, provides correspondence, and submits background checks requests.
- Partners with manager by networking with career services to reach law students.
- Assist with other department activities as needed, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Familiarity with talent/competitive intelligence reporting.
Technology
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Experience with Workday, Firm Prospects, Pirical, and/or LinkedIn Recruiter a plus.
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.
