Position Summary


 

The Attorney Recruiting Coordinator will be based in Austin or Houston and support attorney recruiting, onboarding, integration, and retention initiatives across the Firm. Working closely with the Sr. Director of Attorney Recruiting, Sr. Attorney Recruiting Manager-Texas, office leadership, and hiring committees, this role coordinates recruiting activities, enhances the candidate and attorney experience, and helps execute strategic talent initiatives that support the continued growth and diversification of the firm's platform.


Key Responsibilities

 

Attorney Recruiting & Candidate Experience

  • Help coordinate all aspects of attorney recruiting efforts across offices, including law clerk, judicial clerk, undergraduate, and lateral attorney candidates.
  • Help manage candidate communications and serve as a point of contact throughout the recruiting process. Schedule and coordinate screening interviews, callback interviews, candidate meetings, and office visits. Prepare interview schedules, candidate materials, evaluations, and offer-related documentation. Facilitate a seamless, high-touch candidate experience that reflects the firm's culture and commitment to excellence.

Law School Recruiting & Outreach

  • Help coordinate law school recruiting programs, career fairs, interview programs, networking events, and student outreach initiatives. Help manage recruiting event logistics, sponsorships, registrations, and recruiting materials. Assist in strengthening relationships with law schools, career services professionals, student organizations, and faculty members. Support efforts to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation among law students and emerging legal talent.
  • Track recruiting timelines, application deadlines, and hiring activity to ensure successful execution of recruiting goals.

Attorney Onboarding & Integration

  • Help coordinate onboarding activities with various departments for newly hired associates, counsel, and lateral attorneys joining the Firm. Assist in planning and executing orientation programs, welcome initiatives, and integration activities. Facilitate communication among recruiting, human resources, practice groups, office administration, and new attorneys.
  • Support mentor and integration programs designed to accelerate attorney engagement and long-term success. Help ensure a smooth transition from candidate to integrated member of the firm.

Summer Program Administration

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of the firm’s Summer Associate Program and Summer Patent Internship Program. Help coordinate orientation, training programs, social events, evaluations, work assignment tracking, and program communications.
  • Support summer law clerks and interns, mentors, recruiting committee members, and office leadership throughout the program. Help deliver a meaningful and engaging summer experience that promotes relationship building and increases offer acceptance rates.

Attorney Engagement & Retention Initiatives

  • Provide administrative and project support for attorney engagement, integration, and retention programs. Support professional development programs, mentoring opportunities, and networking events that contribute to attorney satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with firm leadership to help create a positive attorney experience throughout the attorney lifecycle.

Recruiting Operations & Strategic Support

  • Maintain recruiting databases, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting records. Track and report recruiting metrics, hiring activity, event participation, and related analytics. Assist with recruiting budgets, expense management, and vendor coordination.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. Provide project and operational support for strategic recruiting initiatives that advance the firm's growth objectives.

 Education & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in attorney recruiting, recruiting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Prior law firm or professional services experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, events, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, hiring, onboarding, or employee engagement initiatives preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with attorneys, candidates, law students, firm leadership, and administrative professionals.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and commitment to delivering a positive candidate and attorney experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate needs and proactively address issues.
  • Regular travel to Austin/Houston as needed. Occasional evening and overnight travel required in connection with recruiting events, law school programs, and firm initiatives.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting databases, or human resources information systems preferred.
  • Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and recruiting metrics.

The expected salary range for this position is $54,000-$57,000.  Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location.
