Job Summary:
The Attorney Liaison specializes in processing medical records requests from attorney’s offices as well as performing a wide variety of tasks such as generating records, affidavits, and other documents as required.
Responsibilities·Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• To review and respond to all Attorney requests received via mail, fax, and email, included but not limited to: Subpoenas, Affidavit requests, Billing, and medical records requests
• Drafts and prepares records and affidavits pertaining to LOP cases
• Creates invoices and accepts payments for attorney and third-party records requests
• Tracks and follows up with outstanding requests and invoices • Ensures records are distributed within the legal time limits
• Provides customer service via telephone, email and in person daily
• Follow-up on outstanding LOPs and unpaid claims • Other duties as assigned
QualificationsMinimum of 1-year Medical Office experience, ideal candidate has experience in either Medical Records or Insurance Billing
• Knowledge of laws that regulate communication and privacy act.
• HIPAA laws and understanding of the application of all above
• Prepare detailed correspondence for both internal and external audiences with professionalism
• Organized, detail oriented, able to manage time effectively and efficiently, customer service-oriented, with professional phone presentation, advanced computer skills, ability to research and resolve account questions
• Knowledge of the insurance and healthcare industry
• Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to multitask with ease and professionalism
• Ability to work independently as well as a team member
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

- At least 1 year of medical office experience
- Experience in medical records or insurance billing
