JOB DESCRIPTION
The Attorney Hiring Assistant plays a key role in shaping the firm’s future by supporting attorney recruiting across law school, summer associate, and lateral hiring programs. This is a highly visible, hands‑on position for someone who enjoys working with people, managing details, and contributing to meaningful recruiting initiatives. Beyond core administrative responsibilities, the role offers direct involvement in coordinating interviews, supporting recruiting and diversity events, and partnering on firmwide projects that span multiple offices. Reporting to the Attorney Hiring Manager and Director of Attorney Hiring, this position is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to legal recruiting while making a real impact on the candidate experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Process and track law student and lateral attorney applications in FloRecruit; maintain candidate records in iManage.
- Coordinate and communicate interview schedules; host virtual interviews and support onsite candidate visits.
- Manage high‑volume recruiting data and maintain accurate departmental dashboards, charts, and tracking tools.
- Support on‑campus recruiting activities, including resume collections, job board postings, event logistics, and marketing gifts/materials.
- Assisting coordinators with law student events, summer associate programming, and hiring‑related social functions.
- Provide administrative support such as preparing Hiring Committee materials, processing departmental expenses, and routing inquiries.
- Support firmwide Attorney Hiring initiatives as needed.
- Perform additional duties and general administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Attorney Hiring and Atlanta Attorney Hiring Manager.
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCESSFUL
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Chrome River, Zoom, iManage, Teams, Workday and Adobe PDF.
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs, including FloRecruit.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong judgment in a professional environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
- Prior administrative experience required; law firm or professional services experience preferred.
