Job Title: Attendance Coordinator - Lakeview
Reports To: Site Director
Department: Kids Club

Hours: 2:30PM - 6:00 PM

Position Summary

Ensure compliance with all attendance, first aid, and child release protocols for the Lakeview After School site. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate daily records such as student rosters, face counts, first aid logs, and staff attendance documentation. Adhere to YMCA policies regarding the safe and authorized release of children, ensuring that only approved individuals listed on each child's enrollment record are permitted to pick up participants.

Essential Functions
  • Communicate effectively with staff daily.
  • Answer the door and phone in a positive and energetic manner.
  • Follow all state regulations as outlined in Staff Orientation.
  • Adhere to program standards, including the policy on the release of children.
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships and maintain effective communication with parents, children, and staff.
  • Model relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Take daily attendance and follow the "Missing Child Procedure," especially at school dismissal.
  • Use behavior management techniques as outlined in the staff handbook and orientation.
