Job Summary
In this critical role, the ATO Production Officer will provide expert guidance and oversight to ensure that Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes are executed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and management to develop, implement, and maintain security frameworks and compliance measures for our government clients
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in ATO Production and MAAP Planning, ensuring compliance with current USAF and Joint doctrine, TTPs, and established processes.
- Perform duties aligned with ATO Production, MAAP Planner, and ATO Change team functions, including mission data planning, validation, and publication of ATOs.
- Coordinate with TET, C2, and other CPD teams to ensure synchronization of targeting, airspace, and command and control planning processes.
- Execute and oversee air and space asset employment planning—including manned and unmanned systems—for both kinetic and non-kinetic effects.
- Lead or support exercise planning and execution as part of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environments.
- Act as Chief of ATO Production or support CPD leadership during exercises or operations, with the ability to take on higher duties during contingencies.
- Manage mission planning databases and configuration within AOC mission planning tools including TAP, EMR, and MAAP Toolkit.
- Support MSEL scripting and coordination for AOC-level or NAF-level exercises.
- Contribute to mission planning, air tasking development, and AOC system integration during exercises or real-world operations.
Requirements
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in ATO Production, including 1 year as Chief of ATO Production or Chief of Combat Plans.
- 3 years of experience with kinetic and non-kinetic operations in air and space domains.
- Hands-on involvement in at least 2 AOC or joint exercises (NAF-level or higher).
- System Proficiency:
- Expert-level knowledge of TBMCS, including TAP, EMR, and MAAP Toolkit.
- Education:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting operations at NAF, AFFOR, or MAJCOM level.
- AOCIQT or other formal AOC/CPD training.
- Prior experience as an ATO Production SME during exercises or real-world ops.
- Strong communication and briefing skills for working with joint and senior leadership.
