SECU is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to support the ATM Strategy team as we define and implement enhanced member experiences and backend processes to the SECU ATM fleet. As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will provide analytics and insights to the ATM Strategy team to identify trends and assist in data-driven strategic decisions. You will need to blend your critical thinking, creativity, and storytelling to develop data visualization and actionable insights.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic direction of the ATM network by translating member-driven data into actionable business plans.
- Present high-level operational visibility to stakeholders and leadership using the "ATM at a Glance" performance framework.
- Work with the Data Analytics teams to build and evolve transactional dashboards to monitor member-driven data and analyze overall network volume trends.
- Develop diverse customer-view profiles to analyze how different demographics interact with the ATM network.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and Failed Client Interactions (FCI) to help identify and target operational gaps.
- Analyze geographic and demographic data to recommend new ATM placements, relocations, or asset consolidations.
- Assess "on-us" versus "off-us" transaction ratios to determine the strategic value of specific machines.
- Perform benchmarking analysis across deposit per transaction (DPT), fleet sizes, market landscape, cash usage, and transactional trends.
- Calculate ATM profitability by measuring surcharge and interchange revenues against total operating costs.
- Evaluate fleet "cost-to-income" ratios to identify operational inefficiencies and optimize cash replenishment or maintenance schedules.
- Monitor service downtime and transaction failure rates to recommend impactful hardware or software upgrades.
- Track mobile ATM vehicle activities and take lead in coordinating critical deployment logistics for disaster relief efforts.
Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ minimum experience working in analytics, preferably in the financial services industry.
- OR
- Associate’s degree with 5 years minimum experience working in analytics, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, financial, and decision-making skills. Ability to take complex data sets and deliver concise recommendations.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of ATM, ITM and TCR landscapes preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in technology applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Experience in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, and cost benefit analysis along with related analytical tools (JMP, SPSS, SQL, SAS, Power BI).
- Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Skilled at presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.
