The Field Service Engineer with have the following duties and responsibilities:
Attend all system meetings to review schedules and requirements.
Assist in the documentation of all testing and findings for the ATC systems.
Develop test, alignment and preventative maintenance procedures.
Provide test bed support.
Provide on-site technical support for shipboard system repair, inspections and certification.
Provide technical support for testing phases, production, and deployment future ATC systems.
The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing technical and engineering services to the customer's Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide. Will apply engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electronic equipment/systems. These skills will also be used in reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation and drawings, development of technical manuals, test plans and procedures, training curriculum and materials for fleet training evolutions. Responsibilities will also include instructing training classes, maintenance, repair, inspection or troubleshooting of electronic equipment/systems.
Will be directly working in the documentation, testing and installation of newly developed Air Traffic Control Landing Systems. This will included the development of technical manuals, preventative maintenance procedures and system-wide testing procedures.
This position is located Chesapeake, Virgina. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and completion of U.S. Navy Electronics "C" School or equivalent and at least 10 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems
Experience preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings
At least 4 years of experience in military ATC or similar systems
Experience using, reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation such as test plans, maintenance and assembly procedures, schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and wire lists. Knowledge of Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level repair of electronic systems Knowledge and experience with proper use of common and specialty hand tools, general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) and special purpose electronic test equipment (SPETE)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with the operation of Unix and/or Linux software
Flexibility to learn and utilize other similar systems
Completion of 2 year college degree in Electronic Technology or Engineering
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
