The ASW is part of the interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning, clinical interventions, and psycho-education to patients. The ASW practices under clinical supervision, and is familiar with and has expertise in a variety of treatment modalities. Works with patients across the spectrum of development including geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children while demonstrating cross cultural competence. Majority of the position is spent in direct patient care.
License /Certification
Required:Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as Associate Social Worker (ASW) Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer. Licensure within six years of hire/transfer. Failure to receive licensure within this time frame will result in termination of employment.

Required:Previous experience with population to be served and/or work in a behavioral health setting.

Ability to identify and implement treatment modalities that will best serve the patient’s needs.
