ASTORIA GRANDE invites Russian-speaking employees to join its team to work on a cruise ship to Turkey and Egypt with departure from Sochi to the shores of the Black, Aegean, Marmara and Mediterranean Seas. Astoria Grande visits the unique ports of the Turkish coast — Istanbul, Cesme, Amasra, Sinop, Trabzon, Ordu, Izmir, Kusadasi, and also stops at the largest port of Egypt - ancient Alexandria, Islands of Greece and in the new season also in the beautiful Italian ports.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Chief Purser in directing the Clearance Operation to ensure all documents for arrival and departure will be managed in a timely manner, Ensure that all (Crew and passengers) documents will meet all custom / immigration requirements in diverse destinations.
WHAT COMPANY OFFERS:
- Season starts in March and lasts till mid January
- Single Cabin
- Free meals and accommodation
- The tickets at the expense of the employer
- The contract can be for full season or on rotation
- The salary is paid in euros + commissions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Age 21+
- Recruitment is conducted from the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
- Fluency in Russian is preferred but not mandatory for this position
- Knowledge of English is required both written and spoken
- A full package of STCW certificates and a seafarer's passport/seafarer's identity card and Seaman's Book are required (we can help to obtain)
- Degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent, preferred.
- Ten or more year progressive management experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship of which three years as Crew Purser and three years as Assistant Purser.
- Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Superior customer service, team building and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, workforce planning and management, leadership techniques and production methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In accordance with the company’s rules and regulations, and following Ch. Purser instructions will prepare all necessary documentation as per destination
- Plans, organizes, supports, controls, and evaluates the operation as well passenger passports by controlling them and keep them in safe place up to the cruise completion.
- Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the delivery of quality guest services amenities within company’s standards.
- Establishes and maintains effective the required documents for clearance in co operation with Second Purser, Crew Purser.
- In contact with Medical team, Second Purser, HR, Ch. Purser in Passenger medical cases
- In Contact with Second Purser, Crew purser, Ch. Purser in Crew medical cases
- Assist the Chief Purser in maintaining and updating the Purser/Passenger Anova or alternative system.
- Always in communication between Authorities and Ch. Purser, always followed by company’s standards
