Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, compliance errors and irregularities, fraud, or noncompliance with laws and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Inspect eligibility, procurement and reporting records and compliance systems for efficiency and effectiveness,
  • Communicate effectively with fellow staff and engagement supervisor/manager to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Examine and evaluate compliance systems.
  • Perform research when necessary.
  • Take complete ownership of specific aspects of the engagement and see them through to completion. 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MS in Accounting. Recent grads welcome.
  • 3 months - 2 years of experience; experience with nonprofit and commercial audits.
  • Basic technology skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word required.
  • Ability to interact with clients, all levels of staff and colleagues in a professional fashion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Effective time management and analytical abilities.
  • Desire having or wanting to achieve CPA.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, within New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Some overnight travel may be required.
