Business Title: Asst. Outbound Operations Manager
Location: Chennai RO
The main purpose of this job is to drive Transport Operations and excellence in the Primary fulfilment. Key deliverable is Superior Service enabling N+1 delivery with collaborating with transporters, regional fulfilment teams, factories and depots. Drive cost to serve excellence with structural actions to continuously improve Right truck type availability and Loadability improvement actions. Drive quality of delivery and lead Road safety in collaboration with transporters.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage the primary transport operations across manufacturing sites and Buffer DCs in respective region.
Unlock superior 24Hr & 48Hr dispatch compliance with structural intervention with transporters and factories.
Unlock 24 and 48 Hr Dispatch compliance with continuously addressing loss tree.
Disruption planning with branches, factories, distribution planning team and transporters.
Unlock primary transportation saving and deliver cost per ton targets for region
Unlock loadability improvement across manufacturing sites with collaboration with factory, transporters and planning teams.
Unlock Right Truck Types in the distribution network to realize the least cost per ton.
Unlock dedicated truck efficiency and maximize green channel compliance in the distribution ecosystem by partnering with the regional logistics teams and the transporters.
Resolve Direct dispatch issues for customer and partner with branches for DD potential conversion by structural intervention.
Timely closure of transporter claims & conflicts, and accounts reconciled quarterly and regular transporter PNCC closure.
Resolve any cost hygiene issue highlighted by transporters.
Transportation digital journey with Delta and SPIN adoption in collaboration with factories and transporters.
Build and sustain collaborative & productive relationship with Internal stakeholders and Transporters 3PLs to drive costs and efficiencies.
Partner internally and externally to propagate safety in our transport operations and lead the Road Safety agenda for the regional primary transportation.
Unlock Quality of delivery by structurally reducing dents and damages by
working closely with Quality teams, factory and transporters.

ESSENTIAL
University degree in Science or Engineering with 5-6 years of relevant industrial experience.
