Position Overview
- We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the end-to-end installation and commissioning of robotic solar cleaning systems. This role focuses on project execution—from site readiness and hardware mounting to software integration—ensuring the robotic infrastructure is fully functional before handing over to the operations team.
Core Project Responsibilities
- Site Readiness & Planning: Conduct site surveys to assess panel tilt, row alignment, and docking station locations; verify that the site is ready for robotic deployment.
- Installation Supervision: Lead the mechanical and electrical installation of robot tracks, docking stations, and communication gateways (Wi-Fi/Zigbee/LoRa).
- System Commissioning: Oversee the initial calibration, sensor alignment (IR/Ultrasonic), and mapping of the robotic cleaning paths across the solar array.
- Technical Testing: Conduct rigorous "First-Run" tests to identify mechanical obstructions or software bugs; ensure robots navigate row-to-row transitions safely.
- Safety Documentation: Prepare and enforce project-specific safety plans, focusing on lifting operations, electrical safety, and human-robot exclusion zones during setup.
- Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for civil works (base foundations) and electrical wiring for charging stations.
Candidate Requirements
- Background: 3–5 years in Project Engineering or E&C (Erection & Commissioning) within the solar or industrial automation sector.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, DC power systems, and configuring IoT/PLC-based controllers.
- Project Tools: Proficiency in reading technical drawings (AutoCAD) and managing project timelines (MS Project/Excel).
- Reporting: Ability to maintain daily progress reports (DPRs), punch lists, and commissioning certificates.
- Mobility: High readiness for site-based work during the project installation phase.
Skills Required
- 3–5 years of experience in Project Engineering or Erection and Commissioning within the solar or industrial automation sector
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly
- Experience with DC power systems
- Experience configuring IoT- or PLC-based controllers
- Proficiency reading technical drawings using AutoCAD
