Burg Simpson's Mass Tort Department handles some of the most complex, high-stakes litigation in the country. Our litigation attorneys are ready to take on real responsibility — drafting that gets filed, strategy that shapes cases, and work that directly affects the lives of injured clients — while developing alongside trial lawyers who have tried these cases to verdict.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a caseload of mass tort and class action matters from intake through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft and argue motions, briefs, and pleadings, and be part of a team taking depositions.
- Work directly with senior trial attorneys to develop case strategy and tackle complex legal issues.
- Take an active role in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Advocate for injured clients with skill, judgment, and genuine care.
- 3–5 years of litigation experience, including personal injury (mass tort or class action experience a plus).
- Sharp legal research, writing, and analytical skills, and the instinct to advocate persuasively.
- Experience litigating in both state and federal court.
- A collaborative working style and the drive to learn from attorneys who’ve built this practice.
- Active license in good standing.
- In-person. Hybrid flexibility may be available after an initial in-office period, based on performance.
