Associate – RatingBirmingham | National Rating Team
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a high-performing Associate to join our market-leading National Rating Team in Birmingham.
Our Rating team has delivered over 30% revenue growth in the past 3 years, driven by new client wins, major portfolio instructions and expansion across key sectors. We are continuing to invest in talent to support that growth trajectory.
This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognised platform advising major occupiers, investors and corporate clients on complex business rates matters across diverse portfolios.
The RoleYou will:
Develop and implement strategies to minimise clients’ business rates liabilities
Manage empty rates exposure and secure applicable reliefs
Inspect and measure properties for valuation purposes
Analyse assessments and evidence to determine appeal potential
Prepare and manage submissions through the Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) process
Lead client relationships and deliver commercially focused advice
Contribute to fee growth and support business development initiatives
Mentor and support junior surveyors within the team
MRICS qualified (or equivalent)
Strong experience in rating and appeal work
Proven track record managing client portfolios
Familiar with Riverlake, Analyse, RatesData, Calcurate (or similar systems)
Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
Confident communicator with high-quality report writing ability
Ambitious and motivated to contribute to a growing national team
