Position Title: Associate
Department: Valuation & Advisory
Reports To: I&L Lead Partner
Location: London – 125 Old Broad Street
This exciting opportunity is within our high performing industrial and logistics team, which has grown in headcount by 25% over the last 12 months and continues to develop.The team specialises in providing valuations, pricing and strategic advice to a range of clients including investors, banks, REITS, insurance companies, institutional funds, as well as public and private companies. We advise some of the biggest clients in the sector, including SEGRO, Blackstone, Prologis and Panattoni to name but a few.
The team is professional, nimble and collaborative, supporting on high profile transactional advisory projects involving a range of C&W services. The team has embraced strategic technology deployment on these projects and will continue to improve the way in which we operate to improve speed and quality of service in advising clients on large scale portfolio transactions.
You will have an eye for detail, be highly numerate and able to work both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines. You will have experience in both understanding and building complex cash flows and investment scenarios in Excel and Argus Enterprise/Developer, as well as a good working knowledge of the industrial markets and its key players.
With many property sectors facing unprecedented challenges, our Valuations team, in collaboration with other C&W skill lines, is at the forefront of advising clients on the impact of cyclical and structural change affecting their property interests.
Responsibilities
Provide sector expertise and insight to clients
Build strong client relationships, both existing and prospective
Manage existing mandates
Attract and develop new business
Take responsibility for accurate execution of instructions with minimal supervision
Coordinate the use of larger teams across the valuation department (UK and Europe)
Develop your profile in the marketplace
Play an active role in the development of more junior team members.

Analytical skills to be able to draw out market trends and key information
Able to form and justify opinions on property values

Experience
MRICS qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
Advanced industrial sector insight
Advanced Argus software user
Competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
